First Aid Level 1
The minimum requirement for Occupational Health & Safety workplace First Aid compliance. It provides students with the skills and knowledge required to provide basic first aid response, life support, management of the emergency scene until emergency qualified help arrives at the scene.
First Aid Level 2
This course provides participants with an intermediate level skill set and with the knowledge to be able to assist an injured or ill person until medical help arrives or while being transferred to a professional medical facility. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, workers working outdoors and appointed first aiders in the workplace.
First Aid Level 3
A comprehensive course that will enable participants to prevent and respond to health emergencies at an advanced level, particularly those emergencies arising from specific occupational risks in a workplace.
Topics essential for persons working or living in areas where medical emergency response is slow and/or medical care is not readily accessible is also covered..
Basic Life Support
The Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains participants to promptly recognise several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.
CPR for Professionals
CPR for Professionals is a locally produced course designed to teach the skills of CPR and choking for victims of all ages to all healthcare providers in both hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
Heartsaver First Aid, CPR & AED
Designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory, or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
CPR for Everyone
The CPR for Everyone course is designed to teach the techniques of CPR and choking in adults, children and infants, and the use of the AED to lay rescuers.
Family & Friends CPR
The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants.
First Aid Essentials for Children
Intended for those who have or work with children. Learn skills of first aid for children in the home, including accident prevention, medical emergencies, trauma injuries, environmental emergencies, CPR, choking and the use of AEDs.
Paediatric First Aid, CPR & AED
Essential for childcare workers, attendees learn how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
Basic Fire Fighting
Basic Fire Fighting is about bringing fires under control and putting the fires out. Basic Fire Fighting teaches participants the necessary skills to quickly and correctly identify the type of fire so that they can select the appropriate fire fighting procedures.
Health & Safety Representitive
The Health & Safety Representative course gives the learner a better understanding of the functions and responsibility of a Health & Safety Representative. After the course, the learner will be able to carry out basic inspections and participate in Health & Safety committee procedures.
Umbono Training offers Basic Life Support (BLS) training courses for healthcare professionals, first responders, and individuals who want to learn how to save lives. Our BLS courses are accredited by the American Heart Association and cover the latest CPR, AED, and choking rescue techniques. We also offer ACLS and PALS courses for healthcare professionals who need to provide advanced life support.

Umbono Training was born from a vision that First Aid training is for everyone, that anyone can save a life. Based in George in the heart of the Garden Route, we have been providing training of the highest standard since 2005.
